Creative arts programs include Arts & Crafts, Drawing, Storytime, Lego Mind Storms, Cooking and many more interesting classes. These programs can offer a much needed variety for youth as they develop.
(Age 3 1/2-6) Her is a chance for your child to express their creativity through music, art, dramatic play, and movement. Each week will have a theme related to the time of year. Every class will end with 30 min. of creative movement in our Gymnastics Center.

Lunch Time Wee Folks with Swim
Chrildren bring their lunch or a snack to eat for the first half hour and should come to class with thier suit on. After we eat we will do an art activity, go to the preschool gym and then finish out the day with a swim lesson. Parents will pick up their child at the pool deck when the class is over.

Parents, do you need a few hours in the middle of the week to accomplish some errands? Consider dropping your child off at ‘Mazing Kids on Wednesday afternoons. Our staff will watch your child while you cross off some of your to-do list! Art and stories will be explored during this time. Snacks will be provided. Master Class painting offers the more advanced painter new skills such as extreme edging, wet-blending, source lighting and how to paint non-metallic metals. Paint brushes and paint are provided. Using the Lego Wedo Robotics System your robots will include a monkey who plays a drum to a rock & roll beat, a lion that roars, a bird that flaps its wings to create a big wind, a sleeping giant who will awaken on your command and a boat that will rock on the rough seas. This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming and teamwork in an environment full of Rockin' Fun! Student work in teams of 2.

Young Rembrandts offers an opportunity for your school age child to draw something new each week. Subject matter varies from week to week. Our Digital Fave Club makes it easy to get acquainted with today's digital photography and video technology. Teens will take photos with digital cameras and will use video cameras to shoot videos, too. You'll learn to use Adobe Photoshop Premiere to edit, enhance, organize and share your photos. You'll also learn how to organize and develop scrapbooks to take home at the end of this session. Shooting and editing video is fun and easy. With today's technology you can make your movie dreams a reality. Club members will learn to produce amazing videos and the teens will be able to use their talents in organizing school projects.

Over a dozen animals that you would never get to see this close up anywhere else. Entertaining & educational, Dave has done over 7,000 shows over 14 years without any incidents. Storybook Creations Parent/Child
Dive into a good book. We will explore a new book each week and instill a passion for reading through different activities like creating artistic masterpieces. This class is designed for parents to come enjoy the class with their child.
Jim will amaze you with up close and interactive magic tricks---right before your eyes. This show is typically done in an enclosed room so you won't miss a thing. You will see traditional as well as cutting edge tricks! This really is a family friendly show! Children 2 and under are free. Adults must participate with children, so the fee is per person, including adults. Please register by Wed. Nov. 10.
Performance is Friday Nov. 12 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
A Halloween event for the whole family. Come out and decorate your trunks for the "Trick or Treaters". Located in the YMCA parking lot. This event is geared toward the preschooler and toddler. One family member will sit by their Halloween decorated trunk while another family member or friend takes your trick or treaters from trunk to trunk to get their treats. This event is free to members. Please bring wrapped candy to pass out. Prizes will be given out for the best decorated trunk! Not too scary please.
Bring your family on in for some Water Volleyball in the pool.
Come join this parent-child exploration of all our favorite animals we see at the Zoo. Parents and children will participate in music and movement and will make hand puppets each week.
Learn basic knitting stitches including garter stitch, stockinette stitch, ribbing and more along with the techniques used to create beautiful handmade items to enjoy and share. Materials needed for the first class vary by center, contact your local YMCA for details. Come and enjoy this lifelong skill as well as socialize with individuals with similar interests.
Take a culinary journey all around the world. Each week we will explore the culture and food of a different country from around the world. This class will feed both your brain and your tummy. The last week of class each child will bring home a cookbook with all of the recipes, of the food they made, in it. Bring a container to bring home any leftovers.

Every child gets to bring their Wish List and have time with the big man himself. We'll take pictures that you will have access to on Shutterfly, but you are welcome to bring a camera too. The evening will also include ornament making and cookie decorating as well as time for the Playmaze.Our Family Nights require that adults participate with the children, so the fee is per person, including adults. There is no charge for children 12 months and younger

The newest addition to our programming, this class is designed for all skill levels from beginners to expert knitters! Beginners will learn the very basics and more accomplished knitters will work on pattern reading and fancy stitches. Materials needed for the first class vary by center, contact your local YMCA for details.
Use the skills learned in beginning knitting to create beautiful handmade items to enjoy and share. Materials needed for the first class are one pair of Size 8, 14" Knitting Needles and one, 4-oz. skein of a light color, worstd weight yarn. Come and enjoy this lifelong skill as well as socialize with individuals with similar interests. Prerequisite is beginning knitting, or instructor approval
Come join us for some reading time. Various stories will be read by a volunteer during this relaxing time in the Babysitting Cabin. Have your child venture into storyland.
