Education Programs
YMCA education programs offer youth and teens a safe and fun environment to gain academic and leadership skills, as well as develop core values and an ethic of service. The YMCA empowers young people to make wise and healthy choices.
We also offer a range of opportunities for adults to continue their education. Many of our local YMCAs offer health and wellness education opportunities. In addition, because of a strong partnership with IL Dept. of Human Services and the Chicago Dept. of Community Development, Chicago residents can participate in our employment training and high-school GED prep programs.

Preschool Education Programs
We utilize creative, research-based curriculums that include an appreciation for language and literature, listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
School Age Education Programs
YMCA School Age programs ensure that children are given a unique mix of activities that focus on developmental assets, the building blocks that teach children how to make positive and intelligent decisions throughout life.
Adult Education Programs
We also offer a range of opportunities for adults to continue their education. Many of our local YMCAs offer health and wellness education opportunities, but our services extend beyond that
