Preschool (1-5 yrs) Preschool Education

 Here is a chance for your child to express their creativity through music, art, dramatic play, and movement. Each week will have a theme related to the time of year. Every class will end with 30 minutes of creative movement in our Gymnastics Center. Min/Max: 5/10. (Downstairs Craft Room, Pick Up in Gymnastics Center) If your child is in the licensed preschool program, for an added fee of $20 per session, we will provide lunch and transfer the child to the program.

Here’s a great chance for your preschooler to extend their day and have fun with friends. Children eat lunch, play, create a craft, and share stories while you enjoy some “down time.” If weather permits, we will go outside.

Your child will learn through play and socialization. Program incorporates the Y's for core values.  Program will include creative play, drafts, music and educational tools.  You can attend two or three days.

This class teaches your child the “fun”damentals of math. Topics include comparing and writing numbers, counting and skip counting, as well as simple addition and subtraction. This is a great way to help your child lay the foundation for math success.

Sometimes moms needs a little break.  Kids will enjoy themed activities, creafts, snacks and fun play time.  Child must be potty trained.

(Age 8-18mos.) This parent-and-tot program uses the creative movement and exploration concepts to involve you and your child in new learning experiences. Class includes circle time with songs and finger play, a guided introduction to new motor activities for your child, and free time to play with instruments, puppets and toys. Children will benefit from interacting with peers and learning concepts such as sharing, waiting and taking turns.

(Age 12-24 months) This parent-and-tot class is for children that enjoy exploring on their own while bonding with a parent. Children will benefit from interacting with peers and learning concepts such as sharing, waiting, and taking turns. Class time will include games, music and the chance for parents and children to interact in active play. You and your crawler will learn to move to music while singing, clapping, and waving with other children. They will get to explore with instruments, puppets and climbers and meet new friends!

In this class your child will explore the wonders of nature. We will take nature walks, learn about and grow plants, and understand the world of weather. Let your child learn how vast "MOTHER NATURE" can be.

Numbers are neat. This class will help your child recognize, write and really learn the numbers 1 through 10.

Come join us for a fun and imaginative class on fairy tales. We will read all sorts of fabulous stories, from traditional tales like The Three Little Pigs to the silly tales like The Stinky Cheese Man. The children will have the opportunity to take on the role of the characters in the story. We will bring them to life by creating costumes and then acting out the story.

 Join us for an imaginative class with two of our favorite stories: The Mitten and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Child will bring to life characters and scenery from the story through role playing and helpingto make costumes. Performances will be scheduled at the end of the session. (Ages 8-36 mos)  All classes on Thursdays.  Parent and child work as a team in this socialization class.  Finger play, music, crafts, touch-book stories, seasonal activities and parties are included.  Games, activities and puppets are introduced to enhance color and word recognition, improve listening skills and encourage child to verbalize.  Balls, hoops and parachutes help to develop large motor skills.  Parent will provide snack once each session.  Off-site field trip may occur once each session.

On Wednesdays, children attending our licensed preschool who are enrolled in Pre-K may extend their day to 2 pm.  Level II children may attend with the approval of their preschool teacher.  This program includes a hot lunch, physical games, art activities, and lots of fun with friends.  Our own preschool teachers run this program.  A maximum of 20 children with pre-registration required. 

Introductory to our Movers & Shakers class. Your child will explore with climbers, balls, blocks and props while developing fine and gross motor skills!

This is a great class for you and your growing infant/toddler to meet new friends, socialize and learn about each other. We will discover new textures, read stories, and interact through play.

The mind of a child is the perfect place for poetry to grow. This class allows children to play with language and use it in new and interesting ways. The children will be exposed to poetry by simply reading it aloud. We will be emphasizing on the rhyming and the sounds of the words. Poetry allows children to use their imagination and to grow as critical thinkers.

Teachers lead your child in a fun, exciting experience.  Children have fun learning through creative play, crafts, music and educational tools.  We also expose your child to a physical curriculum that includes swimming, tumbling and ice skating.

 Here's a break for Mom or Dad, a chance for their child to be in a stumulating and developmental atmosphere.  This is a great introduction to preschool classes.  This mini-preschool class will include circle time, projects and activities, music, snack and many opportrunities for free play.  Puppets and interactive stories will be presented to help children learn to express themselves.  Parent attendance is optional; parent will provide snack once each session. Great for children 2 1/2 - 3 years old.

(Age 3 1/2-5) The best time to learn a second language is before the age of 5.  Here's an exciting enrichment program where your preschooler will learn the Spanish language through fun, exciting and engaging activities!  Your child will be fully immersed in a Spanish language room and will learn through real-life situation games, music, building vocabulary, and developing listening skills through read-alouds, and arts and crafts.

 Music, stories, art, and more all centered around Dr. Seuss stories!  Come have fun as a family. 

Come one, come all. Come big, come small. The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go. Be ready to learn, get ready to play. From The Glunk That Got Thunk to The Thinks You Can Think, we will explore the adventurous world of Seuss and make a big stink. Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the things you can think up if only you try! Every day will be good. Every day will be fun. Tomorrow we can do another one.
 

Your child loves to discover because kids are natural-born scientists.  Let's build the curiosity for the world they live in with this experimentation class.  Children 3 1/2 - 6yrs will use all their senses to learn in this hands on class.

This class is for children under age 3 and a parent. Help your little one learn and have fun with music and movement. This class is designed around singing and dancing using a variety of exciting rhythm instruments and imaginative props.

This class focuses on both the basics of American Sign language and Music!

Stay & Play is for current Preschool students to remain after class to participate in more fun crafts & games.

(Age 3 1/2-5) Does your child love to listen to stories? Is your child creative? In this class, our instructor will focus on a new story each week.  Class will include story time as well as related arts/crafts.  Please alert instructor to any food allergies. 

Give your child a head start on science with simple experiments and activities that have been designed specifically for young scientists. Your child will explore some of their favorite topics such as weather, space, animals and more! This class is held during lunch time so please bring a sack lunch.

Kids will learn how to make delicious creations with chocolate.  Nutrition and smart choices are a part of each lesson.

You want to learn how to be an "art detective"? This class is for you. Your child will be encouraged to explore the connection between favorite children's books and art activities. With so many wonderful children's books out there, we feel our selection is just the tip of the iceberg.

We hope to inspire your child to look more closely at illustrations and to make the connection between art and literature as they continue their reading adventures.

This program is for 2-3 year olds.  Children learn social skills, explore play and learning in a developmental atmosphere.  Program will include circle time, activity time, art & crafts, music and story time.  Parent's attendance is optional.
